  Matteo received his first set of prosthetic brown eyes in mid July, 2003. On July 26th, 2003 we drove from San Francisco, CA to our new home in Wilmington, MA, outside of Boston. Matteo had a great time on the car drive. Matt, Shelly, & Matt's Mom didn't. We stopped in Cincinnati, OH along the way so Matteo could meet some of his cousins and Matt could have some beer and barbecue.

  Matteo had his palate repair surgery at 9am on Thursday 1/16/03. He was in the recovery room by 11:45am. After three nights at the hospital, Matteo came home on Sunday.

  Matteo had his lip/nose repair surgery at 8am on Monday 7/29/02. He was in the recovery room by 11am. After one night at the hospital, Matteo came home on Tuesday.
